The Start
Seems we are doing a lot of talking about healthcare informatics, so thought I would try and get a community started on the subject. Have be working in HITS since 1986, and around computers since 1969, and now the technology has finally caught up with me.
I am co-chair for the Kernel Development Committee of VistA Systems (no, not Microsoft), but think there are some common principles that should be discussed and shared to make healthcare more efficient on a global scale.
So, if you run across me here, feel free to join in. I work now as a consultant, but have no heartburn about getting as much info out as possible.
